5AP have been very busy in recent weeks. They have been working on their first LCA task. The General Education Task is the first of seven tasks they will complete over the next two years. Each task is worth 10 credits.
For their task they decided to do an Historical Walking Tour of Dun Laoghaire.
- They identified important historical sites.
- Each student researched a particular site.
- They created a PowerPoint and presented to the whole class about their chosen site.
- They also created a booklet on Historical Sites in Dun Laoghaire.
- Using Google Maps they planned out the route for their walking tour.
Last Friday they went on the Historical Walking Tour. They started their afternoon by going for lunch in Nando’s. (Thank you Ms Maher!!). They then followed their planned route and each student gave a brief presentation at their chosen site. The students had a great afternoon and really got to know their local area a little better. Best of luck in the upcoming interview for this task.
