Earlier this term, one of our TY students Sasha, took part in a creative writing programme at Dún Laoghaire Library, an experience that proved to be both inspiring and rewarding.
Sasha, along with a number of other talented young writers, was selected to have her work published in the Creative Writing Ireland Anthology - a fantastic achievement and a testament to her imagination and dedication. The anthology, featuring a collection of comics and poems created by participating students, was published under the guidance of Tríona, the facilitator of the programme, who is associated with Marvel Comics.
To say the finished publication exceeded expectations would be an understatement. The standard of creativity and expression showcased throughout the anthology was truly impressive, and Sasha’s contribution formed part of a wonderful celebration of young literary talent.
The official launch took place at the LexIcon in Dún Laoghaire, where students were presented with their own copy of the beautifully compiled publication. It was a proud and memorable evening for all involved, and a fitting recognition of the students’ hard work and creativity.
We are incredibly proud of Sasha for this wonderful accomplishment. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and we look forward to seeing where her creative journey takes her next.
