We honoured our students' diverse talents and qualities with the #CorneliaConnelly awards, and a 'Spotlight' award, chosen by peers, to recognise someone who has been an exceptionally kind or supportive friend this year!




Academic achievement :

This category awards students who have shown great ability to achieve in their chosen subject and have used that ability to regularly attain high grades.

TY Spirit of the Holy Child :

This category awards students who have shown time and time again that they are living the mission statement of the school by being self - confident, tolerant and respectful of others. Recipients of this award are students who make the most of their abilities and talents to become the best versions of themselves while helping others.

Student of the Year :

This category awards those students who have shown great character, made outstanding contributions and have achieved a high standard of academic achievement.

Gratitude:


A student who shows appreciation and gratitude for resources, opportunities and support given to them and encourages others in doing the same.

Generosity:

A student who shows an awareness of what needs to be done and a readiness to help others. Students who show selflessness and volunteer their help and time to do jobs, charitable events or organised school events.

Trust:

Students who conduct themselves in an honest and authentic way that inspires trust. These students are reliable and assure you that they will work well and reach their potential. They also trust in staff and are confident in the support given to them.

Compassion:

Students who are compassionate, kind and thoughtful people, who become involved in small and big ways. They reach out to others and show concern for people and issues outside themselves.

Joy:

Students who contribute to the happy and joyful atmosphere in school. This joy can be expressed not only in smiles and laughter but openness and optimism in school and has made meaningful connections within the school.

Respect:

Students who show respect to each person, regardless of gender, age, race, religion or sexual orientation. These students respect staff, students and themselves and conduct themselves in a way that is respectful and all inclusive of all.

Courage:

Students who are courageous and challenge injustice and speak up for what is right. These students are resilient through difficult times.

Perseverance:

Students who persevere in a task or action despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Perseverance also relies on resilience and these students continue to navigate the ups and downs of school and personal life.
