On the 10th of March, a filming crew came in from the Rubbish Film Fest to film two 1 minute films that two groups of TY students had planned with Mr Hall Roche. Each group had planned a film that incorporated the Sustainable Development Goals 12 and 13. Each group made a detailed plan of their film and they gave each member of their group a role. The cameraperson of each group was given a little filming exercise to introduce them into filming. Once the plan for the film was drafted, the filming began. Each group had a director who would dictate how each shot was filmed. Once a shot had been filmed, the video was given to the editor of each group. The editor put in some effects for each shot then merged them all together at the end. At the end of the day, the groups viewed both the films and they were really impressed with how they turned out. The TYs had a lot of fun filming the movies. They learnt a lot about filming and editing. They were really glad for the opportunity and can’t wait to view their movies on the big screen in the lighthouse theatre on the 19th.
